Notchman only looks at what you choose: the text or link you copied, shared or picked, and only when you press TL;DR or Read. It never watches your clipboard, screen or keyboard in the background.
1. What happens when you press TL;DR or Read
- On your device: the text is read on your iPhone or computer. If it’s a link, your device opens that page to get its text.
- Summary: for a TL;DR, the text is sent to Notchman’s server, which asks Groq’s AI to explain it.
- Voice: the text to be spoken is sent to ElevenLabs to make the voice.
2. What we keep
Notchman’s server does not save your text or the audio. It only counts how much you used each day, against a random ID created on your device, to keep usage fair. Groq and ElevenLabs process the text under their own privacy policies.
3. On your device
Your history, saved voice audio and settings stay on your device, so replays don’t need the network. Screenshots you share to Notchman on iPhone are read on the iPhone and never uploaded.
4. Don’t send what you wouldn’t share
Avoid using Notchman on passwords, one-time codes or anything you don’t want an AI service to process.
